Aquadrill asked us for hydrogeological advisory to planning, oversee and analyse four wells pumping test that a Coca Cola Embonor plant has in Arica. The main goal is to asses the groundwater resource in order to plan the exploitation.

Technical bases were created advising our client in its design and implementation.

Planning and supervision of variable rate pumping test consisting in 4 stages of ascending pumping rate to get specific pump flows, pump performance curves and well efficiency. Based on the previous data, we design constant rate pumping tests and record water level response (drawdown), physicochemical parameters and interferences with other wells.

From the pumping tests data sustainable pump rates were estimated for each well. Also, the aquifer hydraulic parameters were calculated along with the area of influence for each well.
The works were supervised to fulfill the request, quality and security standards required for our client without disrupting the environment.
