Eigth shallow piezometers were constructed and installed in the eastern sector of Maricunga salt flat, near the upper section of Lamas river. This works were performed to get data around water quality and groundwater levels in environmental sensitive areas.

The drillings were 1-2 meters deep with sampling description and the installation compromised casing and well screen piping.

Boreholes had down to 2 meters depth with 4 ½” of diameter. Well screen was built on PVC piping and had 2” diameter and gravel pack. Also, water samples were taken and physicochemical parameters were measured in situ, along with water levels in each drilled point.
