El presente estudio consistió en la evaluación del recurso hídrico subterráneo disponible en el acuífero que abastece a un terreno agrícola de 1.700 hectáreas correspondientes al fundo San Alfonso, además de evaluar la eficiencia de los actuales pozos de producción.

The following working methodology was set:

• Gathering and analysis of geological, geomorphological, hydrogeological and hydrological information of the study area.
• Listing of surface water and groundwater rights.
• Hydrogeological field recognition, water levels and in situ physicochemical parameters measurement.
• Water balance and recharge estimation.
• Pumping tests analysis and hydraulic parameters calculation.
• Water resource availability estimation.

This study allowed to evaluate groundwater well yields and characterize the aquifer, resulting in a technical report that describes and evaluates the hydrogeological system that supports groundwater resources in the area.
